These Terms govern Your use of xboxgamertag.com (the "Service"). By using the Service You agree to them. If You do not agree, please do not use the Service.
The Service lets You look up publicly available Xbox Live profile information, browse game clips, generate gamertag ideas and view leaderboards. It is provided free of charge and is supported by advertising.
xboxgamertag.com is an independent fan service. We are not Microsoft, Xbox, or any other company whose products or services are referenced here, and We are not endorsed by, sponsored by or otherwise affiliated with them. "Xbox", "Xbox Live" and related names and logos are trademarks of Microsoft Corporation. All other product names, trademarks and registered trademarks are the property of their respective owners, and are used here only to identify the products and services they refer to. We state this clearly wherever the Service is presented.
Connecting an account is entirely optional and You can use the Service without one.
If You do connect, You agree that the Service may use that connection to retrieve publicly available Xbox Live profile information as part of operating the Service, including results shown to other visitors, for as long as Your account stays connected. Only public profile information is ever read. We will not post as You, access Your private messages, friends list or achievements, or share Your name, email address or account identifier with other visitors or any third party. What We store, and why, is set out in Our Privacy Policy.
Connecting also marks Your gamertag as verified. This badge is publicly visible on Your gamertag page and shows only that the account has been verified.
The Service accesses Xbox Live only through interfaces Microsoft makes available, and only within what Microsoft's own terms and developer policies permit. Your use of any Microsoft account remains subject to Your agreement with Microsoft. If Microsoft changes those terms, restricts access, or withdraws it, features of the Service may change or stop working, and We may have to alter or discontinue them without notice. You may withdraw the Service's access to Your Microsoft account at any time through Your Microsoft account settings.
To make features such as recent searches and leaderboards work, We store identifiers and a small amount of related information. Where We can, We store only an identifier and fetch everything else from Xbox Live when it is needed, rather than keeping a copy. We also store technical and usage information needed to operate, secure, analyse and improve the Service. Our Privacy Policy explains this in more detail.
We use Cloudflare to deliver and help protect the Service, so requests pass through Cloudflare and content may be cached there for short periods. Cloudflare handles that data under its own terms and privacy policy, which You can read at cloudflare.com/privacypolicy.
Please use the Service reasonably. Do not attempt to disrupt or overload it, scrape it in bulk or by automated means, use it to harass anyone, or use it for any unlawful purpose. We may limit or withdraw access where use appears abusive.
You can disconnect at any time from Your account page by choosing "Disconnect my account". This deletes the access token We hold for You, ends any further use of Your connection, and signs You out.
You may also ask Us to erase the personal data We hold about You by contacting Us at the address below. So that We do not act on someone else's behalf, We will first confirm that You control the account in question, normally by asking You to sign in with it or to reply from the email address held on the account. Once verified, We will delete the data We hold, other than anything We are required to keep by law.
The Service is provided "as is". Profile information comes from Xbox Live and We cannot guarantee it is accurate, complete or continuously available. To the fullest extent permitted by law, We are not liable for any loss arising from use of, or inability to use, the Service. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date above will change when We do, and continuing to use the Service means You accept the updated Terms.
